This is for a 'Hey Barkeep' self redemption game by NAMCO. According to NAMCO USA, this is the working prototype for a game never released or released in a different market in very small numbers, and was to be scrapped but instead accidentally ended up in California. It was shipped to their company headquarters in Chicago, and put on location in a customer's hotel where it spent most of it's life. During a rotation, the game made it's way to Iowa where I picked it up. I do have some documentation from NAMCO about it. It's a fun and unique game, but probably not as child orientated as it should have been, and probably why it was not released in this form. I have seen a more kid friendly Pokemon-like version in pictures from Japan, and at the same time, the game was pictured in an online catalog. The game's setting is a wild-west bar in which a blond Oriental Cowgirl Hooker is trying to pick up men. She promises great things if you can send a drink her way on the bar without sending it off the end of the bar or to someone else by mistake. When the game is started, the player selects the prize they want by pressing a number button corresponding to the prize screw in the cabinet. After which, a LED display randomly selects a 'prize area' in which the player must 'slide' the drink glass to. They are instructed to pass the drink down the bar to the awaiting 'friendly cowgirl with a Oriental/English accent'. If the player misses, they are given one more try before the game ends. If they are successful, they are rewarded with the prize they selected. The cabinet area is very large, so large stuffed animals, or similar could be used as prizes.
This game works great, and is in excellent condition. The graphics are fabulous as well as the lighting compared to other similar games. The game was aimed at children (and they love it), however, the implied theme is questionable and you might want to think about where it is being put if you decide to use it on a route. I would prefer to see this go to a collector, but it has been a very good money maker in the short time it's been in my personal arcade. I will include what ever prizes I have left in the game when the auction is over. As you will notice, the artwork is very detailed, except for the marquee. NAMCO made me aware that this was a prototype when I purchased it.
If you would like to stop by and check it out just let me know and we can set up a time, and I would actually prefer that. I would prefer not to ship it or deal with Paypal especially since the front door is a large piece of tempered glass with the graphics printed right on it. But if you need it shipped, I will work with you. You may choose who ever you want if you take care of the details on your end. I am pretty flexible for pick up, and you can also pick it up yourself if you wish to.
It is for sale locally, so the listing may end early. All items are sold "As-Is, Where-Is", no refunds or warranties. Thanks for looking and happy gaming!!
